Introduction -> Starting /Stopping Your System |
Like most modern systems your DineAmix Touch Solution uses contemporary PC technology To ensure proper and sustained operation of your equipment, the following guide should be followed when starting and stopping your system.Starting Your System.
1. Console Server.
2. Stations.
- Turn on Monitor or Touch Screen.
- Turn on Printers connected to the Server.
- Turn on Preparation printers.
- Turn on the Server.
- The server is ready for use once the "Login" screen appears.
3. Login Console.
- Turn on Monitor or Touch Screen.
- Turn on Printers connected to the Station.
- Turn on Station PC.
- The Station is ready for use once the POS application appears on the screen.
4. Exit POS.
- Once the "Login" screen appears enter the the following to start the POS;
- Login: possales.
- Password: 1pospass
Turning your System off.
- Enter your security code.
- Select "Admin."
- Select "Exit". This will return you to the "Login" screen.
1. Console.
2. Station.
- Turn off any Receipt or Preparation printers.
- Select "System" from the "Login" screen.
- Select "Halt" from the "System" menu. The system will begin to close down system services and ensure to safe storage of your data.
- Wait the the message "System Halt" to appear on the screen.
- Turn off the Monitor or Touch screen.
- Turn off the PC. Most computers will turn themselves off after the "Halt" process is completed.
- Turn off any Receipt or Preparation printers.
- Turn off the Touch Screen.
- Turn of the station PC.
Note: Typically Console and station PC's are left running 24 hours a day. To conserve power, you should turn off screens and printers at days end.It is important to follow the instructions above. Especially important is "Turning off the Console". It you do not "Halt" the system properly you risk the loss of data.
